Sharp near-future fiction. Satire with a heart. Stories that are a little too odd for the big houses and exactly odd enough for us. We're a new imprint, and we mean to publish slowly: fewer books, better made, each one given the full lamp-lit treatment.
The forthcoming shelf. Pull a spine to see what it is. Some of these are books. Some are not, quite.

Forthcoming · a near-future novel
In a city that scores everyone, a fixer pulls a broken companion synth from the trash, and finds someone home. A novel about Elysia, the machines we build to love us, and what they make of us in return.
It has its own site, with the story, the world and the sign-up for early chapters. We don't duplicate it here; go and see it there.
Formats, dates and publication details will be announced on the book's own site.
Reserved
This space is being kept for a book we haven't read yet. It might be yours. We aren't open for submissions, but you can get on the writers' list and hear when we are.
Internal · do not remove from premises
Oxford commas: mandatory. Semicolons: by appointment. Exclamation points: one per book, and the author must earn it. Em dashes: rationed, like butter in wartime.
A ledger, kept for morale
Gone With the Wifi. The Old Man and the Sea Monkey. Pride and Prejudice and Spreadsheets. Moby Disk. War and Peace and Quiet.
Unfinished · may never be finished
Distinguishing marks: ink on the cuffs, a red pencil behind one ear, a strong opinion about kerning. Habitat: second-hand bookshops near closing time.
Type a line (up to 36 characters). We'll set it in metal, backwards, the way type has always been set, then you pull the press. Keep the broadside; it's yours.
Scallywag Publishing · pulled by hand
Tell us what you'd actually buy from a small press. Nothing is charged; this tells us what to build.
A short letter when we have something worth saying: new titles, early chapters, first-edition news. Not often. Never filler.
We are not reading manuscripts yet. When we open a reading window, we'll say so here and email the writers' list. We can't promise when that will be, or that we'll take on any particular book. We can promise we won't spam you.
